Tucson’s GLBT community will take to the streets to march in Pride of who they are and who they love. Now in its 5th year, Pride on Parade will continue to delight Tucson with a colorful procession taking place this year on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 6:00-9:00pm!
Why a Parade? Even today, with all of the strides that have been made towards equality, GLBT persons are far too-often pressured into keeping who they are a secret out of fear and shame. The focus of Pride on Parade is to allow GLBT persons the opportunity to be out and proud about who they are. To be part of such an event gives hope and strength to those who are struggling with acceptance, helping them to be honest about who they are when they go to work, go to school, or talk with their families. Together, we can provide our community with a place to come together and celebrate each other in an environment of safety and respect.
 | Pride on Parade Mission Statement |
To celebrate the Pride and diversity of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community in Tucson and southern Arizona.
Our goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity to be a part of this celebration.
